In 1982, Jim started his Automotive career as an apprentice motor mechanic in Latrobe Valley. He also achieved his Senior Mechanics Certificate and A Grade Certificate.

In 2002, with the support of his wife Karen, Jim took the big step of opening up his very own Mechanical Workshop - JCP Automotive. It started as a single mechanic workshop but over time grew and now we have 3 full-time mechanics and Karen as our Administration Manager.

With a collective 60+ years experience in repairing all types and models of vehicles, from replacing and rebuilding engines and gearboxes, differentials, brakes and clutches and auto electrical repairs.
